Tatters
I lay my heart at Your feet.
There isn't much to share.
What I have is fragile, marred,
My every secret bared.
You cradle my crumpled heart
Without a taste of scorn.
You wipe my slate like new again.
I quiet in Your warmth.
Like a lamb, I totter near,
Then leap into Your arms.
You're gentle, tender, peaceful,
A shelter from the storms.
I cannot help but stand in awe
Of the love within Your gaze.
Of the love within Your gaze.
I placed my tatters at Your feet.
You renewed me with Your grace.

ReplyDeleteWow! That is so beautiful. So thankful you posted this.
ReplyDeleteEmily, I know this is really random, but have you ever read the book "Kisses From Katie" By Katie Davis?

I haven't yet, but it's actually on my summer reading list!
DeleteGreat! I am about half way though it, and so far it is one of the best books I have ever read. I hope you like it!
