Someone asked me a week or two ago upon walking into my dorm room, "So you like Ted Dekker?"
I have a spine bookshelf, which basically makes my books look like they're stacked on top of each other when it's really holding them in place. But more than half of the entire bookshelf is covered in Ted Dekker books. I have old Ted Dekker books, new Ted Dekker books, a soon to be published Ted Dekker book, his nonfiction book, two never-to-be-published Ted Dekker books... I'm a pretty big Ted Dekker fan, if you haven't noticed.
So when the guy asked, "So you like Ted Dekker?" I almost burst out laughing.
Do I like Ted Dekker?
Yes, yes, I do.
Who is your favorite author?
I'm having a college Q&A day on September 10, which is coming up fast. If you have any specific questions about what it's like to move away from home and go to college, ask them in the comments below or email them to me at jacksfavoriteowner@yahoo.com.
What is the food like? Your classes? Is it weird going from a small school to a HUGE one?
ReplyDeleteGood question! Favorite author?!?!? My mind is whirrling with conflicting choices. It depends on my mood. Do I want to read a romance? A mystery?
ReplyDeleteI've read some books that stick in my mind for life. Frank Peretti, for example, is an excellent writer. I remember each book he wrote that I read. I've read three. He's one of my favorite authors and yet I've read only three of his books. I've read all of Karen Kingsbury's books, but she's definitely not my favorite author. Strange, isn't it? I guess a good author can be remembered by a single book.

I love both of those authors!! Jenny B. Jones is amazing, I got to meet her this summer, she was a speaker on a missions trip I went on. :)
ReplyDeleteMy favourate author is probably C.S. Lewis, and then, when I want to rest my mind from big words, I absalutely LOVE Jenny B. Jones books, she writes like I think!:)
ReplyDeleteWhat classes are you taking? What is your daily class schedule like?
ReplyDeleteI don't know if this has been asked already, but have you made any good friends in college yet? What do you think of people who act as if they're very close friends even though they've only met each other recently in college? (I'm asking this because there were people from my dorm in my first year who act like they're best friends or something even though they only met each other once college started..)
ReplyDeleteI hope you haven't been asked this already, but is college easier or harder than you expected? In what ways?
