Below is a paragraph I found in my big hollow window seat packed with notebooks I filled as a child. I wrote this when I was home schooled. I'm not sure what age I was. The story made me laugh out loud, however. Take a look at these names.
-----------

Athena Elpozalaweeya, age eight, looked out of her pearl window.
Pearl window. Nice. She was a princess... a princess of the hidden nation, El-Hoopa-Loopia-Letty-La. "Daddy has to go to war," she sobbed. Athena was terribly sad.
-----------
And that's all I had. I love the name of her hidden nation, don't you? El-Hoopa-Loopia-Letty-La. I wonder what their national anthem sounds like.
God bless El-Hoopa-Loopia-Letty-La, land that I love........

ReplyDeleteI was wondering if you would ever be able to review some of my writing and give me a critique?
Thanks!
Hey Emily, have you read a Kisses From Katie? If you have not, you should consider it. If you have, you should review it. :)
ReplyDelete@Gabrielle: You are welcome to send me a piece of your writing and I'll tell you what I think. I'm no expert, however. I'm only a college student. My email is jacksfavoriteowner@yahoo.com
ReplyDelete@anonymous: One of my best friends recommended that book last night. I'll have to check it out. :)
